For all new patients: we HIGHLY suggest scheduling your first 2 appointments:
1) the 75 minute initial evaluation and treatment and
2) 1-2 weeks later, your 60 minute follow up.
Please schedule both to ensure widest availability and so that we can follow up and make sure your initial treatment is integrating in a good way.
Insurance:
We are approved providers for
- MVA (motor vehicle accident)
- PIP (personal injury protection)
I am currently considered an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies.
Why am I not contracted with insurance? I like the flexibility of offering accessible treatments to diverse communities and if I'm contracted with an insurance company I'm stuck abiding to inflexible fee structures.
Want to bill your insurance company for an out-of-network benefit? See below.
How to submit for a medical reimbursement from your insurance carrier:
-
Contact your insurance provider to find out if acupuncture is a covered out-of-network benefit.
-
Look up your annual deductible amount for out-of-network providers. It can often differ from your annual in-network deductible amount.
-
Utilize your FSA/HSA to max out tax savings.
-
After you've completed payment for a treatment, you can submit a 'Superbill' to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Superbills will be provided upon request.
